Tyler grew up in the dental field. His father is a practicing general dentist and his mother is a lifelong dental assistant and office manager. Even before officially entering the dental field his life revolved around dentistry. In 2010 he received his bachelors degree in History from Grand Valley State University, giving him critical thinking, research and writing skills. Following college Tyler honed his leadership skills in the U.S. Army. For the past seven years he has been the business manager at Palumbo Family Dentistry in Battle Creek, Michigan. He has personally overseen a transition of the practice from paper to an all digital HIPAA compliant paperless practice. He has also worked as the office manager for two other general practitioners as well as consulting on practice management and HIPAA issues to a number of other local practices. Working in dental offices on a day to day basis has allowed Tyler to take a practical approach to HIPAA compliance that eases the burden of already over worked dental office staffs. Tyler's main focuses are HIPAA compliance, Cybersecurity, Technology and administrative practice management.
