Debra Schilling Wolfe

Debra Schilling Wolfe, MEd, is the Founding Executive Director of the Field Center for Children’s Policy, Practice & Research at the University of Pennsylvania, an interdisciplinary center focused on improving the lives of child maltreatment victims through system-level reform. Ms. Wolfe has led policy reform efforts and contributed to research on a variety of child welfare topics, including mandated reporting of child abuse, human trafficking of minors, and child maltreatment fatalities. She participated in the largest study to date on the prevalence of trafficking among homeless youth and designed the first measure to examine the correlation between trafficking and child welfare, published in Human Trafficking Prevalence and Child Welfare Risk Factors among Homeless Youth: A Multi-City Study. Ms. Wolfe is a certified trainer on recognizing and reporting child abuse in Pennsylvania where she chairs a child fatality review committee and serves on the statewide Child Welfare Council.
