Course Overview
The COVID-19 Pandemic has changed how dentists and oral health professionals can volunteer to help improve global oral health outside the U.S. International volunteers have been presented with different travel regulations, infection control protocol and program management issues. This course will explain how an HVO volunteer program in Nepal adjusted to the travel barriers and implemented virtual education from US volunteers to continue the program during the pandemic.

Attendees of this webinar will:
• Identify alternate solutions to continue volunteer programs when travel is not possible.
• Manage a virtual program including the recruitment of volunteers, identifying the local audience and program evaluation.
• Develop a permanent hybrid volunteer model that can be used in the future.
