Overview
The
COVID-19 Pandemic has changed how dentists and oral health professionals can
volunteer to help improve global oral health outside the U.S. International
volunteers have been presented with different travel regulations, infection
control protocol and program management issues. This course will explain how an
HVO volunteer program in Nepal adjusted to the travel barriers and implemented
virtual education from US volunteers to continue the program during the
pandemic.
Attendees of this
webinar will:
• Identify alternate solutions to
continue volunteer programs when travel is not possible.
• Manage a virtual
program including the recruitment of volunteers, identifying the local audience
and program evaluation.
• Develop a permanent hybrid volunteer model that can be used
in the future.
