Overview
This session of the Achieving Optimal Oral
Health series is focused on how dental providers can make small changes in their
practice be more welcoming to patients who have special healthcare needs. Dental
providers attending will learn about dental office design considerations that
may be more welcoming for persons who have special healthcare needs. Specialized
products that can help with successful delivery of care, such as: protective
stabilization products, mouth props, positioning aids, intraoral cameras, and
selecting prophy heads will be reviewed. Four dentists will share their
principles of patient management and necessary modifications when working with
patients who have special healthcare needs. Speakers include Doctors Maureen
Perry, Jacob Dent, David Fray,
and Allen Wong.
