Overview
Little ones (and their caregivers) need you to teach them new skills to breathe better. Join us to hear how pediatric dentists apply behavioral skills in their practice. World leaders in myofunctional therapy and otolaryngology will help you find new ways to address problems in your patients. There will be an opportunity to add your clinical experience to a special research effort to change how children are treated.

Treating Airway As Early in Life as Possible (Recording of Children's Airway 2020 Live Streamed Event)
Member Price: $299.00
CE Credit(s): 6
Retail Price: $349.00
Course Created on: 12/22/2020

Description:
This course was a live-streamed event recorded Nov. 20, 2020.

Overview
The early ages, before 71 months, is the best time to discover breathing problems in kids. If they don't breathe properly early, they don't grow to their best airway health and full life potential. There are screening, diagnostic, and treatment steps every dentist can take to ensure their young patients are given every advantage. You will learn from experts who have put into practice coaching for health in children and provided therapy to improve the airway. Orthodontic and otolaryngology specialists will share what they add to a team of professionals to help general and pediatric dentists treat their patients and teach guardians what can be done to give children their best chance at health for a lifetime. Directed exercises and Q&A with the experts will prompt every dental team to create action plans to talk about airway health for their next child patient.

After completing this course, the learner should be able to:
Identify children at risk for poor development of a healthy airway
• Discuss new-thinking therapy choices to kids and their guardians
• Form a strategy within their office to address overall children’s health from a strongly preventive perspective

Presentations
The Dental Home 2.0 — Lauren Ballinger, D.D.S.
Breathe Well, Little One — Susan Maples, D.D.S.
2021: A Face Odyssey — Howard Stupak, M.D.
