This course, mandated by many states for all licensed dental practitioners, covers ethical issues in dental practice, including boundary issues, fiduciary duty, the patient’s best interest, scope of practice, overdiagnosis, overtreatment, impaired practitioners, unjustifiable and justifiable criticism, negligence, insurance fraud, patient records, and confidentiality.
