Description:
Dental professionals may be the first or only point of contact for domestic
violence victims in a health care setting and since as much as 75% of physical
abuse involves injuries to the head, face, or neck areas, they may be the most
capable of recognizing the signs of abuse. This webinar will provide guidance to
the dental professionals to evaluate signs of suspected abuse and neglect.
Actual cases will be provided as visual examples to help the dental team make a
differential diagnosis before reporting suspected abuse to social services.
