Overview
Brought to you by NAMI Chicago, this presentation is the first in a series of educational programming on mental health and wellness provided in part by a generous grant from Crest + Oral-B.
In this 1-hour workshop, participants will learn about NAMI Chicago's resources, dive deep into the definition of wellness, learn how to recognize when a colleague is struggling, and identify ways to be supportive. The presenter will address specific aspects of the dental practice and workplace that provide challenges and opportunities for wellness and NAMI Chicago will provide wellness techniques and strategies that dentists and their teams can implement to build resilience and improve workplace wellness. To round out the session, participants will create their own "Wellness Plan" in order to better manage stress and engage in self-care.
The mission of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Chicago is to improve the lives of those affected by mental health conditions.

This presentation will help you:
• Have an understanding of NAMI Helpline and resources
• Dedicate space and time to consider the trauma and impact of COVID-19
• Understand stress and burnout and how they occur
• Know the signs that you or someone else may be in need of extra support
• Learn how to serve as a support for colleagues, friends, and family
