Overview
The 2022 Symposium on Oral Health
of Older Adults is an opportunity to raise awareness about the oral health of
older adults and engage dental professionals across various experience,
interest, and practice environments. The symposium content
is aimed at dental students, residents, practicing dentists, policy makers,
medical colleagues, and other practitioners.
This 6-credit online course includes recordings of the
symposium presentations as well as donwloadable slides
and resources.
NOTE: Learners must complete
the final quiz to earn CE credit.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of
this symposium, attendees should be able to:
• Discuss and inform healthcare
colleagues how the dental profession is preparing to treat the growing
population of older adults
• Identify the correlation between oral health and
systemic disease.
• Describe how various issues create barriers to access to
dental care for older Americans
