During this course, Craig Busey, General Counsel for the ADA, guides volunteer leaders through the legal aspects they might face in a not-for-profit organization. He discusses the importance of prudent business judgment for the benefit of the organization, distribution of authority, and setting the direction of the organization.  The presentation stresses developing a culture of mutual respect and partnering with staff.  Volunteer leaders are charged with protecting the best interests of the organization and understanding federal government requirements and policies.  Busey helps leaders understand what the primary areas of legal concern are for ADA and its members.
